Who we are

Tranquil Waters Psychotherapy is the practice of Shawn Lowe, Registered Social Worker, at 11 Bay Bridge Rd, Suite 100, Belleville, Ontario. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and how it is handled.

Your health information

Information you share in therapy is handled separately from this website. Client records are kept confidential and managed according to Ontario's privacy law for personal health information and the professional standards of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.

Please don't send personal health details through email, the contact form or the booking page. You can share those privately when you speak with Shawn.

Information you choose to send

If you call, email, book a consultation or send a message, we receive the details you provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, preferred way to be contacted and your message. We use this only to reply to you and to arrange appointments.

Online booking and the contact form are provided by a secure third-party scheduling and client-management service. Information sent through them is stored by that provider on our behalf, and may be stored on servers outside Canada.

We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing.

Website analytics and cookies

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. It uses cookies to count visits and collects general information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. It does not collect your name, contact details or health information.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

How long we keep information

Enquiry and booking details are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and manage appointments, or as required by law and professional record-keeping standards. Analytics data is kept by Google in summary form.

Your choices

• You can ask what personal information we hold about you and ask for it to be corrected.
• You can ask us to delete enquiry details you sent through this website, unless we are required to keep them.
• You can ask questions or raise a concern about privacy at any time.
